Saturday, September 29, 2012 - The 2012 Daehanminguk Makgeolli Festival is scheduled to run from Oct. 6 to 7 at the Ilsan Culture Park in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. Celebrating makgeolli (a traditional Korean rice wine), the festival schedule includes a variety of side events such as tightrope-walking performances (“jultagi”), traditional martial arts demonstrations, hands-on makgeolli making programs, and even a makgeolli drinking contest.
