American Airlines And Citi Bring Concert Series To JFK International Airport

Saturday, June 30, 2012 - American Airlines and Citi joined forces to bring travelers a "nice" treat at Terminal 8 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) with special performances from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, "Nice Work If You Can Get It."

Cast members from "Nice Work If You Can Get It" will perform a selection of hits inside the secure area at Terminal 8 as part of the new performance series from American Airlines and Citi.

Bombardier to Supply 210 Rail Cars to RATP and STIF in Greater Paris

Saturday, June 30, 2012 - Bombardier Transportation announced that it will supply 210 double-deck commuter train cars for line A of the RER, the Greater Paris commuter network. The new order is an option under a contract signed in April 2009 for a firm order of 60 MI09 trains. The public transportation upgrade is led and co-financed by STIF and RATP.

Austrian Airlines: Operational transition to Tyrolean heading towards the finishing line


Next weekend, all of the flight operations of the Austrian Airlines Group, which has a fleet of some 80 aircraft, will be bundled at its 100% subsidiary Tyrolean Airways. More than 50% of all Austrian flights are already being "operated by Tyrolean", especially those in Austria and to Central and Eastern Europe. As of July 1, Tyrolean will also operate the long-distance fleet.

United Airlines Launches Daily Service From Newark To Istanbul


United Airlines introduces its first-ever service to Turkey this weekend with the launch of daily nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport, beginning July 1.

Flight 904 is scheduled to depart Newark Liberty daily at 7:27 p.m. and arrive in Istanbul at 12:20 p.m. the next day.

Olympic Torch Crosses England's Longest Lake

Saturday, June 23, 2012 - On its way to London, the Olympic Torch travelled on one of the oldest steamers on Windermere, England’s longest lake.

The torch was carried by local schoolgirl, Stephanie Booth, on the Tern steamer which is operated by Windermere Lake Cruises. CEB sustains cargo lead in Q1 2012; to expand domestic network


Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) transported more domestic cargo than other airlines in the 1st quarter (Q1) of 2012, according to recently released Civil Aeronautics Board data.

CEB carried 22.1 million kilograms in cargo in Q1, besting the combined cargo loads carried by both Philippine Airlines and Airphil Express.
