Travel and Tour Asia September issue 2013

Asia has always been a strong player in the tourism industry and in 2013 it has managed to escalate its status in the industry despite including India despite the falling rupee factor.

In an uneven global economic environment, tourism results have been more than positive in most regions of Asia as compared to the rest of the world in the first half of 2013. Asia and the Pacific saw a 6% rise which has exceeded all expectations, boosted by South-East Asia with a 12% growth and South Asia observed 7% rise in tourism.

The impact of this growth is seen in every sector of tourism generating employment and trying to attain stability in the volatile market. The hotel industry according to STR did see a dismal start  at the beginning of the year but managed to revive its gains after the Chinese New Year with Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania reporting an almost 6.0-percent increase in ADR. Some countries in Asia are doing excellently while others are experiencing setbacks due to the raising dollars. But despite the economic juggernaut Asia's soaring hotel industry should make a convincing read in our theme story.

For better glimpse of Asia there is a lot to read in this month's edition along with the regular features of our magazine. We are hoping that you will enjoy and send your feedbacks.

Travel and Tour Asia July issue 2013

Asia is being affected by the economic demon that is troubling travellers worldwide. The Aglobe trotter might need to think a bit before risking a trip abroad. Things do not look all that rosy, but the bug that takes one's footsteps away from the confines of their birth zones has already bitten the Asian traveller.

However, our readers needn't be disappointed as market survey reveal that people are keener to travel to and from Asia despite the growing inflation rates, so nothing in the world can bottle up the travel lust in Asia.

Keeping that in view, our cover story confirms this belief where customized travels are being taken seriously. The culture, heritage and technological innovations inspire a better understanding on how Asia is meeting necessity with invention. Read in the City Chronicles how China makes Asia proud by being a strong global contender. Macau has refurbished into a global meeting point and group tourism in Sydney is ideal. Read more about Asia's glamorous life in our Theme Story for the month. Also get a better idea on how the Hilton Chain plans to expand itself. We have once again collected interesting reads on festival, show review and show highlights. The magazine brings a fresh view on Asia and we look forward to your opinions. Happy reading!

Ttw Asia Latest Issue March 2013

Asia continues to lead the global tourism industry as per reports revealed by analysts. According to a report published by ITB World Travel Trends, Asia will be the powerhouse of the global tourism sector with strong growth of 7% in outbound travel. The outlook for 2013 is even stronger, experts said at the World Travel Monitor Forum in Pisa. China and Japan are both performing exceedingly well this year with double-digit growth rates in outbound travel, Hiroshi Kurosu, senior researcher at the Japan Travel Bureau, told participants.

The number of international trips by Chinese grew about 20% in the first half of this year on top of already rising visits in the recent years. Japan has staged a remarkable recovery with 13.7% growth in the first nine months of the year, while outbound travel by South Koreans increased by 6.7% from January to August 2012. Hong Kong and Taiwan also grew well over the first nine months. Overall, outbound tourism from North-East Asia can be expected to record double-digit growth this year, he predicted. To know more on this, read our exclusive cover story on the growth of tourism despite the economic uncertainty.

Travel Tour Asia Issue Januwary 2013

In the wake of 2013, the Asia travel and tourism industry witnessed significant developments in the field of technology.China, often considered as the ndomitable economic powerhouse of Asia unveiled the world's longest high-speed railway route which is speculated to cover a distance of 1,428 miles in mere eight hours! The new service links Beijing all the way to the country's south eastern town of Guangzhou.

Last year, it was kind of a mishmash affair for the travel trade industry. On one hand there was this regressive economic uncertainty looming over on the travel industry and on the other side natural disasters marred the festive mood to a certain extent. However, the situation is somewhat better now with UNWTO reporting strong tourist footfalls in the month of December.

We re-tweaked the e-mag a bit and incorporated certain changes in the magazine which was an imperative considering the overwhelming feedbacks we are getting from you for the past few months.  The latest edition also comprises of video streaming facility so that you can enjoy your favourite destinations long with videos supported with commentary. Last year was pretty exciting for us as we launched three region-centric magazines (Travel and Tour Asia, Travel and Tour Europe and Travel and Tour Americas). Along with these, owing to the meteoric rise of the MICE industry, we came up with MICE Travel Advisor – a magazine entirely dedicated to the core meetings industry professionals.

We thank our readers for the overwhelming support. Keep pouring your feedbacks and we will review our shortcomings so that we can serve you even better.
