Palmas in Brazil celebrates 24th anniversary with seven days of celebrations
The youngest of all Brazilian capitals, Palmas, completed 24 years of its foundation on Monday (May 20). The celebrations for the anniversary of Palmas (TO) began on May 14 and will close today with a wide cultural and musical program.
The banks of the Rio Tocantins, the capital of Tocantins is a planned city, which was designed like Brasilia. Furthermore, the preservation of natural areas, wide streets and flowerbeds also resemble the capital Brasilia.
