They were once the holiday home of Empress Sissi and today they inspire the garden art of Castle Gardens near Merano thronged by visitors from around the world. Over 400,000 visitors enjoyed the 2010 blooms and ornate design.
This year, the award-winning facility is celebrating its tenth anniversary as a botanical garden. The opening of the "Botanical Underworld" on 16 June and diverse program of events will mark the occasion.
